Hosted by A Child’s Garden, every Wednesday, 4-6pm
Hands-on assistance makes all the difference. Something not feeling right? Want to learn a new carrying method? Need tips or reassurance? Bring your carrier and your questions; leave smiling. This is the Valley’s premiere babywearing event, and it’s free! Please note: Demand varies at the drop-in clinic. Introduction to Babywearing, A Child’s Garden, October 21, 2010, 6:30-8:30pm
In this workshop, we will discuss the benefits of babywearing, proper carrying techniques, and how to choose a baby carrier. There will be plenty of time for hands-on practice with your baby or our realistic demo dolls. Bring your own carrier, or work with our many samples.Registration is required. Back-Carrying Workshop, date and time TBA
Is your baby getting older and heavier? Would you like to do some hiking or gardening or simply free up your front? In this workshop, we will discuss and try out a number of different techniques for getting your baby on your back, and you will have an opportunity to experiment with several different carriers and ways of “backpacking” your child. This workshop is best suited to parents with babies around 4 to 18 months old.Email me for more information.
Wrapshop, date and time TBA
Have you caught the wrap bug? This two-hour workshop is the perfect opportunity to perfect your wrapping technique and learn new ways of tying. Learn the secrets of successful wrapping on front, back, and hip with any age baby. Best suited for babywearers who already have basic familiarity with the wrap.Email me for more information.
Private consultations
I am available for private, in-home consultations within reasonable driving distance of Northampton. Private consultations are 2 hours long, and are customized to your family’s needs. This is a fantastic way to learn a lot very quickly. A private consultation is an excellent option for families who prefer the comfort of home or who desire one-on-one instruction. Also ideal for families who have unusual circumstance (twins/multiples, parental physical limitations, baby with special needs, etc.). Please contact me for rates.
Gift certificates
Want to give the most useful, practical, and thoughtful baby gift of all? Gift certificates are available for private babywearing consultations. The appointment will be arranged at the recipient’s convenience, after the baby’s arrival. This makes a very special, from-the-heart gift that is sure to be appreciated by any family expecting a new baby. Contact me for more information.
Private Classes
A private class for up to 10 participants, in your home or other venue. Ideal for childbirth education classes, prenatal yoga classes, mother/baby groups, or professional groups. Format is flexible: choose from among established topics, or customize the content to your group’s specific interests.
Also makes an unusual, memorable, and fun baby shower or Blessingway.
